Dr. Snyder has been in practice at the same location in Falls Church for more than 25 years and maintains one of the largest contact lens practices in the Northern Virginia area.

He has served as a clinical investigator in contact lens studies for Johnson and Johnson, Wesley Jessen, Ciba Vision and Bausch and Lomb. He has also served as a Low Vision Examiner for the Virginia Department of the Visually Handicapped. Dr. Snyder received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland his doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry.

He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. In addition, Dr. Snyder was a pioneer in the co-management of laser corrective surgery.

He traveled to Canada to learn first hand about these techniques from surgeons who have been performing laser vision correction procedures for many years. His specialties include difficult to fit contact lenses, geriatrics, low vision and the co-management of laser vision correction for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
